I believe in the power of thematic curriculum and experiential learning, where children explore concepts through hands-on activities, real-world connections, and creative problem-solving.

My approach centers on fostering inclusivity, ensuring that every child– regardless of their background or learning needs– feels valued, confident, and inspired to learn. This is further enhanced by collaborating with Early Interventionists to provide additional support for children who may require tailored learning approaches, helping them reach their full potential.

My daily experiences in an inclusive setting has taught me many valuable life lessons, while leading and learning from my team of educators. Though challenging at times, seeing even the smallest progress in the children makes the journey fulfilling and meaningful, and I hope to continue to make a difference in their lives.

Prior to joining the early intervention team, I was a consultant speech pathologist with private therapy centres back in my hometown for children having delays in feeding, language and speech. I have more than 15 years of experience working with children with autism, ADHD, global developmental delay, down syndrome, and other developmental conditions.

My aim is to help individuals achieve optimal communication skills to the best of their abilities through proper assessment, suitable placement and planning, and active team collaboration. It is vital for me to implement holistic strategies for an individual's needs in order to aid in further development and coping across different environments.

I believe that all individuals should be given the platform for opportunities to grow with the right support and careful consideration of every child's needs.

Prior to completing my degree, I have gained experience in the early childhood sector by working as an assistant teacher in a preschool, where I had the opportunity to gain insight into working with and taking care of young children.

After my graduation from NUS in 2013, following my passion of wanting to serve and help others, I have worked for more than 7 years as an Educational Therapist/Learning Support Educator. In those roles, I supported a diverse group of learners from ages 4 to 21 with learning and behavioural challenges, both individually and in an inclusive preschool setting. I also worked closely with other allied health professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Behavioural Therapists, and have gained much knowledge from them to support the learners that I work with. My greatest satisfaction comes from seeing the children under my care progress and grow, and I am committed to helping them reach their full potential.

I am passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces where every child can thrive. I strongly believe that every child has their unique strengths and the potential to succeed, and is dedicated to nurturing those strengths and building their confidence through differentiated learning.

I am deeply grateful that I was given the opportunity to take up the challenge to be one of the educators who commit to helping children with special needs to achieve the things that they deserve in the best way I can. I furthered my studies specialising in Special education and attended training. However, gaining experience is the best teacher. Since 2005, I have worked with children from various exceptionalities in different settings. With that, I am still learning. I help these children to attain the goals that were set in their IEPs. They have taught me to love and care unconditionally.

I also collaborate with Speech and Occupational Therapists to provide holistic support. He has taught in various special and international schools in Singapore, including Dover Court Preparatory School and Horizon School. Trained in both Singapore and Australia, he holds a Special Education qualification from Brisbane College of Advanced Education, Queensland. Mohideen has held senior roles, including Vice Principal at MINDS School and Project Director at The Special People, demonstrating his expertise in teaching and leadership within the special education field.
